Overdrive

Overdrive is an over dyed project. I wanted to create a colour with a lot of depth. She’s was made with quite a process.

First she was dyed a very happy bright colour, mints and teals with white. I didn’t love it.
She had a hand painted bath with blues, pinks and purples. A slosh of green.
Then it all went into the dye pot to heat, where I gave her her yellow speckles. I didn’t want the yellow to run too far, hence why it happened in the dye pot.

This has created a very one of a kind yarn. I don’t think I will ever be able to recreate this one but I think I will try, one day.

That was a bit of an essay, I’m not sorry though.

This yarn is 100% NZ merino, 4ply and around 400M per skein.
